I’ve changed my mind. I will be showing a new painting at Hess. This is a painting of my son’s new piano teacher. She is absolutely stunning, a cancer survivor and so very talented. I felt she embodied the theme of the show, “Empower”. So, here’s the new detail, sneak peak. “Deidre” is 16″x20″ Acrylic on linen (this was my first painting on linen. It was really nice to work on, but very difficult to photograph.) I can’t show you the whole thing until after the opening night. Come to the show!

I’m so excited and honored to be in a group show at hosted by Hanalei Artworks, at Hess Brewing in San Diego, CA.

The Artist Reception is

Wed, March 7th 6-10P at Mike Hess.

On view thru April 1st.

I’m unable to disclose the entire painting I’ll be showing so here’s a teaser for you to enjoy. I hope to see you at the show! It’s going to be a great collection of artwork.

15% of the proceeds from the opening night will be donated to San Diego Rescue Mission

Miles, Contemplative

IMG_3440February was a month of portraits. This is a portrait of my eleven year old son. I love this age between young adult and child. There’s so much love, innocence and potential all wrapped up in a beautiful face. This is 24″x 30″ acrylic on canvas.

Wet Paint- Ivy Dale

I did a triptych a couple years ago of my husband, son and myself.  It was painted in three panels because I always hoped we would have another child and I could add her in a panel.  Well, my family is finally complete as I finished Ivy Dale’s painting last night.    I’ll photograph it with the other panels soon, but it’s really wet and I don’t want to risk moving it as the sides are painted.  What do you think?
