Octopus #2

Octopus #2

I completed two octopus illustrations for a friend who is looking for a tattoo design.  I really enjoyed the simplicity of the pen and ink and am very happy with the resulting illustrations.  I can see doing more of these in watercolor and ink.

First Sale on ETSY!

May 22, 2009

I just sold my first painting on www.bendystar.etsy.com  It’s the painting of the garlic and onion.  I am so happy that it went to a good home and will be graced on a kitchen wall surrounded by other oil paintings of various vegetables and spices.  I delivered the painting to La Jolla since the buyer was in my area, so the sale doesn’t show on the etsy site.  But believe me, it’s a good start!  Here’s a picture of the sold painting.  Onion and Garlic

Painting Plein Air in Coronado, CA

May 9, 2009

I went on location to Coronado and set up for a study of the dinghy landing.  It was a more active area than I anticipated and was lucky enough to have finished the painting right as the owner came to take his dinghy away.  I am happy to report, he approved of this painting.  Coronado Plein Air
