The Artist Reception was great. Crowded as always and much fantastic art. I noticed I was showing on the same wall as one of my college instructors, Gail Roberts. What an honor! Anyway, here is a photo of me with my triptych at the Museum.

Triptych is approved for juried show!
June 4, 2008My Family Portrait Triptych was accepted by the jury for show at this months exhibition at the San Diego Art Institute Museum of the Living Artist. The opening reception will be on June 13th 2008 from 6-8pm. The exhibition runs from June 6th – July 17th. For more information visit their website http://www.sandiego-art.org
Family Portrait Triptych is a Modern spin on the traditional family portrait. This style leaves room for more panels to be added at a later time, showing for additions to the family, as well as updated aged panels of the 3 participants. The composition exemplifies the family protecting the child and the directionality of their gaze suggests each participants role in the family.
